Tour Details
Day 01: Delhi (Arrival): On your
arrival at New Delhi international airport, you will be received by our
representative and assisted straight to check-in at your hotel. Remaining day
will be kept at leisure. Stay overnight in Delhi.
Day 02: Delhi: After breakfast enjoy guided tour of this historical city visit Humayun’s tomb, Qutub Minar, Lotus Temple, Red Fort, Chandni Chowk and Jama Masjid. Drive past impressive boulevards and buildings such as President’s Residence, India Gate and others in Lutyen’s Delhi. Also, take a Rickshaw ride tour in the ever so busy Chandni Chowk.
Day 03: Srinagar: At appropriate time you will be transferred to Delhi airport to board the flight to Srinagar. On arrival at Srinagar, you will be received and transferred to check-in at your hotel. Rest of the time is free at leisure.
Day 04: Srinagar: During the day enjoy sightseeing tour of Srinagar visit famous Mughal Gardens i.e. Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Chasme Shahi followed by a visit to Wooden Masjid located at the banks of the lake. Evening is free at leisure.
Day 05: Srinagar: Day will be kept at leisure. You
may also visit Shankaracharya Temple located on top of the hill which
provides amazing views of Srinagar Valley and surrounding areas.
Evening is free at leisure.
Day 06: Gulmarg: After breakfast check-out from your hotel and proceed to Gulmarg one of the most beautiful summer / winter resort in the valley. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Rest of the time would be kept at leisure. You may have Horse ride or Gaondola ride (Cable Car) from Gulmarg to Khilanmarg to have a real view in natural beauty of the summer and full snow view in winter.
Day 07: Houseboat: Morning check-out from your hotel and drive back to Srinagar. On arrival, you will be transferred to check-in to houseboat. Later in the day enjoy Shikara ride on Dal Lake to experience life style of Kashmiri people with a back drop of beautiful views of mountains, gardens and heritage buildings around the lake. During the day visit Dal Lake and enjoy Shikara ride here. Shikara is a Gondola type light rowing boat. A Shikara ride is one of the most soothing, relaxing aspects of a holiday in Kashmir. Rest of the time is free at leisure.
Day 08: Kargil: After breakfast check-out from
houseboat drive to Kargil. On the way cross Zoji La pass i.e. situated at a
height of 3529 metre. Zoji La and marks the boundary between Kashmir and
Ladakh. On Zoji La pass there is one-way traffic, so you might have to wait for
traffic controller’s announcement for crossing the Zoji La. Afternoon reach
Drass which is the second coldest inhabited places in the world. After reaching
Drass, drive further towards Kargil. Kargil is situated in Suru
Valley where the Suru River flows and meets the Indus at a place called
Marul. On arrival, check in at your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 09: Leh: Start early morning from Kargil so that on the way the
monasteries of Alchi, Likir and Lamayuru can be visited. The road further from
Kargil climbs its adventuress & breathless way to Namika-La (3719m) and
Fotu-La (4108m) passes, gives you a real feeling, being really at the top of the
world (“La” means a pass and used with respect and honour). In the evening
arrive in Leh and check-in at your hotel. Since the 17th century Leh
has been the capital of the Ladakh region. Leh and Indus Valley were earlier
the capitals of the region. In the evening you may take a leisurely walk
to Leh market. Spend night at the hotel in Leh.
Day 10: Leh: During the day take excursion to Shey and Hemis monastery. Shey is the oldest capital of Ladakh from where its earliest Tibetan kings ruled. The Monastery or Gompa of Shey is located ideally on a high rock about 15 kms south of Leh on the eastern bank of the Indus. Until the 16th century, Shey was the royal residence. One of the attractions of the Shey is the victory Stupa which is topped with gold. The monastery of Hemis is situated on a green hill, surrounded by spectacular mountains. Hemis is around 45 kms in the south of Leh on the west bank of the Indus. The monastery of Hemis is the biggest of Ladakh.
Day 11: Leh: During the day take an excursion to Stok village. Walk
through the fields of barley to reach the village that houses Stok Palace and a
private museum within the palace. The Stok museum showcases great
collection world renowned Thankha paintings. Another interesting section in the
museum is the section, displaying the antique robes and royal jewellery
featuring red coral and turquoise gems in its design. Then pay a visit to the
Stok Gompa, belonging to the yellow-hat sect of Buddhism. In the afternoon
visit the magnificent Leh Palace. Also visit the Sankar Gompa, situated 2 Kms
away from the market. Evening is reserved to visit the Tibetan Refugee camp, an
important centre of study of Tibetan literature, history, and Buddhist
philosophy. Retire for the night at the hotel.
Day 12: Tso Moriri: Early morning check-out from the hotel and drive to Tso Moriri Lake. En-route, visit the Sumdah Village. After visiting the village, drive for another 55 kms to visit Tsomoriri Lake that is breeding ground for varied species of birds. It is one of the most breathtaking fresh water lakes in Ladakh. Enjoy overnight stay in tents.
Day 13: Keylong: After early breakfast leave for
Keylong. It is a major halt point that provides for tented accommodation on the
Leh – Manali highway. Drive through some of the highest motor-able pass
like Baralacha-La (4892m), Taglang-La (5330m) – the second highest road in the
world and Lachlang-La (5065m). Drive through towns of Sarchu and Jispa and
finally reach Keylong spotting amazing scenery and panoramic views of the
lovely surroundings that passes. Enjoy overnight stay in tents.
Day 14: Manali: After breakfast drive to Manali crossing through the Rohatang La pass, which is at the height of around 5359m – the highest motor-cable road in the World. The path is rough through the pass but to compensate this views of snow peaks and glaciers are magnificent. Upon reaching Manali check-in at your hotel. Rest and relax for a while. Manali has spectacular views of snow capped peaks and wooded slopes
Day 15: Manali: During the day you may visit the major tourist attractions
of Manali like Hadimba Temple, Tibetan Monasteries, Manu Temple and Solang
Valley. Also, enjoy visit to Vashist springs for a hot sulphur spring bath. In
the evening return to the hotel for overnight stay.
Day 16: Manali: Day is free at leisure. Manali offers interesting walks
through dappled orchards and fairy tale forests of Deodar. Stay overnight in
your hotel.
Day 17: Chandigarh: After breakfast check-out from the
hotel and drive to Chandigarh. En-route visit Kullu valley, celebrated as the
valley of Gods. On arrival, check-in at your hotel. Evening is at leisure.
Day 18: Delhi: After breakfast check-out from your hotel and drive to Delhi visiting the Rock Garden - lifetime dream of Mr. Nek Chand. On arrival at Delhi, check-in at your hotel for overnight stay.
Day 19: Delhi (Departure): After breakfast, check out from your hotel and you will be transferred to Delhi airport
to board the flight to onward destination. The tour ends.
