Tour Details

Day 01: Kalimpong (Arrival): On arrival check in at your hotel at Kalimpong – the garden of flowers. This town has almost everything- scenic beauty, flowers, greenery, waters, mists, clouds etc. During the day you may visit the Tharpa Choeling Gompa – the Tharpa Choeling Gompa was established in 1922 and belongs to the Yellow Hat (Gelukpa) sect of Tibetan Buddhism. His Highness the Dalai Lama also belongs to this sector, which was founded in the 14th century in Tibet. There are numerous nurseries in Kalimpong, which excel in production of orchids. You may visit some important nurseries across the town and look at their collection of flowers, orchids and cactus.

Day 02: Gangtok: Morning check-out from your hotel and drive further to Gangtok. On arrival, check in at your hotel. After a brief leisure move for a half day sightseeing tour of Research Institute of Tibetology, Chorten (Stupa), Enchey Monastery and other place of tourist interest. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 03: Gangtok: Morning after breakfast move for an excursion to Tshongo Lake situated at a height of 3,780 meters (PS: Foreigners are allowed till this lake only, they are not allowed to visit Nathula Pass). The cool water of the Lake is perfectly attuned with the scenic beauty around. Later return back to your hotel. After brief leisure enjoy visit to Rumtek Monastery. Stay overnight at Gangtok.

Day 04: Pelling: Drive further to (Pemayangtse) Pelling, on arrival check in at your hotel. Rest of time is at leisure. Stay overnight at your hotel.

Day 05: Pelling: During the day visit the Pemayangtse Monastery - one of the oldest monasteries of the state and Rabdantse Ruins – a walking distance away from the Pemayangtse Monastery. The scenic view from the top of the ruins scanning across the valley to the mystic heights of Khangchendzonga range is something to be cherished and etched in memory. In the afternoon you may take a walk to Sangacholing Monastery.

Day 06: Pelling: During the day take an excursion to Khecheopari Lake. It is considered to be one of the sacred lakes of the State both by the Buddhist and the Hindus. The Lake remains hidden under the rich forest cover. The birds do not permit even a single leaf to float on the lake surface.

Day 07: Darjeeling: After breakfast you will be transferred to the queen of hill stations Darjeeling. On arrival, check in at your hotel. Later you may take a pleasant walk on the ridge (it offer breathtaking views of the Kunchenjunga peak which is the 3rd highest mountain peak of the world) and the Mall Road. In the evening you may visit the restaurant for a cup of tea or coffee or chilled beer. It is a few surviving Raj era institutions which still serves as a favourite hang-outs for evening get together and socializing.

Day 08: Darjeeling: After breakfast, take the fascinating mountain toy train ride that passes through beautiful loop and bridge. It is now listed among World heritage sites by UNESCO. Train ride offer breathtaking views of the Kunchenjunga peak. Later enjoy sightseeing tour, visit the Himalayan Mountaineering institute famous for having Edmond Hillary and Tenging Norgay as its members & patrons and the famous Darjeeling zoo. If interested, you may take an early morning trip to the Tiger Hill to watch a beautiful sunrise. Rest of the day is to be enjoyed relaxing in cool and peaceful atmosphere of the place or walking through the scenic Mall road.

Day 09: Bagdogra – Delhi (departure): At appropriate time you will be transferred to Bagdogra airport to board the flight to Delhi. The tour ends
